According to the 1871 census, William Harvey, father of Louis William Harvey, is the son of George & Louisa Harvey. (RG10; Piece: 1659; Folio: 39; Page: 5)

Louisa Harvey, grandmother of Louis William Harvey, later married Moses Murray, so on the 1911 census Moses Murray is the step-grandfather of Louis William Harvey.

Louis William HARVEY's army service record (South Africa and WW1) gives his father as William HARVEY of Warren Road, Vange, Essex.

There is additional data on his siblings, wife, children, and plenty of personal information. Worth downloading from Ancestry, if you have access.

If you don't have a personal subscription, you might find Ancestry is available at your local library

I know this was written years ago, but I’ve only just found it, Herbert Harvey was my great grandfather and Louisa was his mother, Moses Murray was Herberts step father. Herbert’s son was my grandfather Bernard Harvey (born 1903- died 1981)Bernard’s son was my father Raymond Charles Harvey (born,1934- died 2007) all lived in Wickford Essex.
