I don't know where the Beaumonts started but they ended up in Essex in the early 1900s. I would like to track them further back.

Hi Iffa,
Small world. Just joined tonight. I live in Warrington Cheshire. One of the local high school's in Beaumont High formely William Beamont High. William Beaumont was the first mayor of Warrington.

If you are seeking information on Warrington it may be usefull for you to know when doing searches that Warrington used to be in the County of Lancashire, but was moved to Cheshire in 1974. So it may come up as either Lancashire or Cheshire.

Some more info for you.
William Beamont was born in 1797. A solicitor, he spearheaded the creation of the first Warrington Borough Council in 1846. He was appointed the first mayor and set up the Museum and Library. He died at Orford Hall in 1866.
