The name Watt goes back almost to the beginning of surnames. There is a church built in 1006 that has plenty of Watt family. Some graves are so worn you can hardly read them.

Hi BEACHBOUY (Ian Watt?) & welcome to the forum!
I don't know what others thought about your posts but I really wasn't too clear on who you are trying to contact i.e. Willie = William WATT?
You also ask if Alex is 'ones' father, is that Alexander WATT & who's father do you refer to?
    Kind regards

Just found this post whilst searching on Blackhall, if anyone is interested i have a website at www.blackhall-genealogy.org.uk which may answer some of the questions raised. There is also a group on Facebook Blackhall Genealogy which is open to anyone with Blackhalls in their ancestry
