    Default GLASTON BAPTISMS

Hi, does anyone have access to Glaston Baptisms 1800-1812?
I am looking for the Baptism of Jane Swan circa 1807. 1851 Census at
Market Deeping, Lincs says she was born Bisbrooke, but cannot find her
there and as she married at Glaston to a Market Deeping man it seems
the most likely answer. LRFHS have not yet covered these parishes on
their CDs and it may be a little while before they do.

    Hello Burt,

I have had a look at both the Glaston and Bisbrooke baptisms, as recorded on Hugh Wallis' site, but any Jane Swans recorded are outwith your dates, I'm afraid.

    Default GLASTON BAPTISMS

Many thanks for your help Jan1954,
I was hoping for someone with access to either the original registers on fiche
at either Leicester RO or Oakham Library as there may well be gaps in IGI
transcriptions. The other possibility is non conformist I suppose.

Non-conformist registers from RG4-RG8 are available online at BMDregisters and also TheGenealogist - both pay-per-view sties (although just searching is free).

These may of course have been baptised late and that may have been where they were living at the time rather than in their birth parish. Online indexes don't necessarily show ages at baptism.
