Hello everyone and Happy New Year
Could someone help me find an absent husband this is what I have.
Mary Elizabeth Parker (b) 1827 to Richard and Esther in Little Snoring Norfolk, she married Issac Allcock Sept quarter 1846 Walsingham Norfolk.
1841 aged 14 with parents
1851 now Allcock 24 still with parents and sons George 4 and Issac 2 no husband
1861 still with parents and sons no husband.
I have looked for him in Norfolk and rest of country, looked for birth and death nothing, after 1861 I can't find Mary she might have re-married but none are concrete.
Any help would be great

Do you have that marriage certificate?
It would give his occupation.
He may have been in the services or a trade connected with the sea, fishing, trawlers or merchants. Any occupation that took him away from home. This would mean that he was around but not on the particular nights of the census.
He must have popped back now and again if they had sons.

According to the 1851 census (HO107; Piece: 1826; Folio: 260; Page: 22), Mary is recorded as being a Shepherd's wife.
Maybe he was tending his sheep somewhere - lambing season when the census took place?

This may be young Isaac's birth.
Isaac Thomas Allcock, Dec 1848 Walsingham 13/310
That birth certificate could also help. I have a birth certificate that helpfully, puts the father working away in a foreign country at the time of the birth.

If you have access to something like Ancestry there are many hits under
Isaac (with one s and two aa's). There are loads.
Young Isaac seems to have married Isabella and is there in 1881, 1891 and 1901

MARCH, Mary Elizabeth Head F 44 1827 Ag Lab Norfolk
ALLCOCK, George W Son M 24 1847 Ag Lab Norfolk
ALLCOCK, Isaac T Son M 22 1849 Ag Lab Norfolk
so it looks as though she re-married and then lost another husband.
I cannot find her on the 1881 Census, another marriage for her, or a death. Yet.
Marriages Dec 1876
Allcock Isaac Thomas Walsingham 4b 825
Hill Isabella Mahala Walsingham 4b 825
this is a possible for George W
Deaths Dec 1899
Allcock George 52 Walsingham 4b 179
there is also a death for Mary Elizabeth ALLCOCK (which is strange)
Deaths Dec 1900
Allcock Mary Elizabeth 74 Walsingham 4b 158
Isaac junior died in 1924
Deaths Dec 1924
Allcock Isaac T 75 Walsingham 4b 265
hope this helps a bit and doesn't confuse you even further.
