Thank you so much for contacting me.
I wrote an email to the address you gave but it bounced back.
I am interested to know about the parents of Sarah Ann Thompson & William
Cornelius Williams Snr. Also if you know details of their youngest son Charles Williams.
It was a lovely surprise to hear from you. Regards, Judy

Hi again Tony, I only have a little information on William Cornelius Williams from his Death Certificate and then from researching that on Ancestry I ascertained he was born in London on 29 May 1807 and baptised at St Mary Whitechapel, Stepney, London on 20 June 1810. His parents were given as William Williams and Ann. He married Eliza Young on 25 December 1825 (Age: 18) at Saint Leonards, Shoreditch, London, England. In the presence of Daniel Young and Mary Ann Young. They had a son Jospeph in 1826. I presume mother and son both died but have no information on that. Calculating from his Death Certificate, WCM arrived in Hobart in 1839 where he resided for 5 years before moving to Melbourne and marrying Sarah Ann Thompson.

As for Sarah Ann's parents, Joseph Thompson is given as a witness on her Marriage Certificate to WCM. I presume that he is her father and not her brother. Her Death Certificate gave his occupation as an Engineer. I tried to find a Death Certificate for him in Australia with no success. I found no information on Eliza Ellen Daly either in Ireland or if she made the voyage to Australia.

I was recently contacted on this forum by Sue whose mother has information on the Thompson and Williams family. They have kindly offered to send me what information they have so I am looking forward to hearing more from them. I think they are descended like you from William Cornelius Jnr.

I also discovered from the Death Certificates of WCM and Sarah Ann that there was another son Charles Williams born in 1854. Do you know anything of him?

    Regards,
    Judy

This is a long shot, but I saw you posts to Judith Anderson about two years ago on https://www.british-genealogy.com/fo...h-Ann-Thompson.
Judith Anderson's research on the Williams was fantastic.
Does you mum know if WC Williams Jnr kicked the first goal for Carlton FC in the 1850/1860's?
I hope your mother is still alive ( my mum is 95 now).
