    Default Crookshanks/Cruickshanks

    Could someone please do a household lookup for me on 1871 Census Durham, probably South Shields for Allan Crookshanks (62), and his wife Margaret Crookshanks (59). Both born in Scotland, probably Midlothian or again possibly Aberdeen. Many thanks.

    There were lots of Crookshanks/Cruickshanks in Durham, but this was the only Allan I could find - which is obviously not correct, but may be related!!
