    Default Sources for Local Historians

I came across Sources for Local Historians by Paul Carter & Kate Thompson last year. Every time I delve into it I emerge with new ideas for reseaching my ancesters.

It introduces the reader to a huge variety of useful historical documents and archived material, explaining what they are and what information can be gleaned from them. At the back of the book you'll find a brilliant bibliography, a very detailed index and website addresses, not to mention additional source guides. It's an absolute gold mine of information and one I highly recommend.

As one of the authors, I was tickled to read your very kind review of Paul and my book!
