It became necessary to remove the link in the opening post as the site no longer exists as a resource for mining disasters. The url is now a commercial site.
The resource has been transferred to Ancestry.
I have found this site for mining disasters which looks very useful.

The subject of websites no longer being maintained was the subject of a discussion on a family history programme users list earlier this year, and mention was made of the site originally posted in the first message in this thread.
I understand that most of the information found in that site is now freely available on Ancestry at https://www.
ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/9735/
The dataset is currently listed as Web: UK, Coal Mining Accidents and Deaths Index, 1878-1935, and found in the main section of 'Birth, marriage & death, including parish'.
