Hi all,
Wondered if anyone could shed a bit more light on a couple of people from my tree:
REGINALD E JUNIPER - was born 1887 in Tottenham, London, England
Died 17/07/1962 in LA, California, USA
Son of ALFRED OSCAR JUNIPER and SARAH ANNE QUINTON (I myself am decended from the QUINTON line)
REGINALD I believe emigrated to North America in 1906 going from Liverpool to Quebec in Canada but have hit a blank from there until his death in 1962 so any help would be great!!!
Also I believe ALFRED OSCAR JUNIPER may have emigrated in Canada as I believe he died in 1917 there but can't be sure of that so any help there would be great too!
Cheers!!
J

There is a Reginald Ernest Junipers Attestation paper on the Canada Genealogy pages. Born 21st July 1886, he gives his next of kin as his mother Anne Juniper, her address is 7 Holland Park, Toronto. The Attestation is dated 1918 so suggests his father may be deceased at that point.
There is also a Land Grant for Reginald E Juniper.

Fantastic!! Thank you both! Excellent information there which will does fit in with what ive gotten already! Even though he was from a remote part of my tree I thought he sounded interesting from the unusual name! Seems like he moved about a bit with his family before settling in LA - I suppose that might have been quite usual with the growth of US cities at the time.
Any idea what happened to the land he got registered or an idea how I might find that out?
I will have to see what he did in WW1

If you go to Collections Canada Genealogy pages, just put in Juniper in the general search and all the results will come up. You can also have a read through about the Land Grants etc. I know people who have been in contact with these archives and they have been very helpful.
