Hi Brett,
Will the Derbyshire Photographers site be reinstated. It seems to have disappeared.

It's not just that site - all Rootsweb Freepages sites have been taken offline while the Rootsweb platform is being upgraded. Clicking the link in post #12 above takes you to their holding page where the latest news can be found.
Unless Brett sees this and can provide an alternative site address, all anyone can do is keep trying from time to time to see whether the situation has changed.

Hi sidelong and arthurk,
Sorry about the absence of the Derbyshire Photographers web pages, but there's not a lot I can do until the Rootsweb Freepages hosting is restored. Rebuilding the site from scratch is just too enormous a task for me to contemplate, since it took me quite a few years. It's not a simple matter of reloading the pages onto a new host either, since all the image and web links would need to be redone. I have all the material, though, and continue researching Derbyshire photographers for a potential book project, so if you have some questions or some image contributions to make, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me directly
Regards,
Brett Payne

It just occurred to me that there could be an archived version of the site on the Wayback Machine, and I’ve found one from 2017 at
https://
web.archive.org/web/20170528051642/https://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~brett/photos/dbyphotos.html
(Link broken as per forum rules)
Sometimes archived versions don’t include every page, so others can be found via
https://
web.archive.org/web/*/https://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~brett/photos/dbyphotos.html

Thanks for providing that link to the Archived version on the Wayback Machine. I had temporarily forgotten it was there. Unfortunately it doesn't always display the images, but in the interim, it's useful.
Regards, Brett
