    Hi Mitch

Thank you for the advice. I already have his birth certificate. He was born and adopted in Southampton. I have dates of adoption too. I know his name has almost certainly been changed. Ive been given lots of advice and appreciate your help. Ive followed up on lots of the advice given but all to no avail. Im a bit unsure though of how to go about dealing withthe council. Like where do i apply? Be good if i could have some advice on that. I had to take a break from my search for a while as it was totally consuming me .... was taking over everything :/

    Regards

    Mandy

    Hi Loulight
No they are not destroyed. They are easily accessed. If you know the persons birth name and birth date you can get a copy at the registry office in the city that the person was born. I know this as got a copy of my adopted uncles birth certificate
