I would be interested to hear from anyone with Trezise relatives connected with Redruth.
Particularly any related to a Nicholas Trezise who came to Redruth approx. 1780s as a Sojourn.
My branch of the family then moved on to Bristol, within a generation so there was only a limited time in the Redruth area. Other branches may have remained in Cornwall.
The Bristol Branch then split and gave rise to Trezise relatives in Cardiff and Liverpool as well as Bristol.
I am particularly interested to find out whence my branch of the Trezise family arrived in Redruth. There are a number of well established Trezise family trees, but to date I have had no indication which if any of these gave rise to my branch.

Trezise Cornwall
Thanks Wobbley,
Can anyone shed any light on where Nicholas Trezise married in Mary Shepherd in Dec 1787 may have come from ?
It seems Mary had a short pregnancy if Nicholas junior was baptised in May 1788.
Maybe this was part of the reason to move to a new parish ??
If anyone knows of any unaccounted for Nicholas Trezise who could have married in 1787, I would be interested to know about them.
Thanks again, SloopJB.

There seem to be a few Tresize's in the Madron area, but, finding a connection to Madron for your Nicholas may be difficult.

Hi SloopJB,
AllanJohn is quite correct, they seem to be everwhere.
I even found three generations of the name Nicholas Tresize in St Just in Penwith alone.

Trezise Joseph
Wobbley,
Did you find a Joseph Trezise Baptised 1791 who may have died young ?
Please what was your source of the Baptism and marriages in Redruth ?
Was there any other data details of witnesses, etc at the marriage ?
Was there an address or father's profession associated with the Baptisms ?
Thanks again.

Trezise
I know that Trezise is a very common name in Cornwall.
I need to trace all Nicholas Trezise to see if they died or married so I can eliminate them from my research.
The one remaining may be the one I am looking for.
The male names in the Family seem to be Nicholas, Joseph and James.
These seem to come up generation after generation.
Any details would be most welcome.
Thanks, SloopJB.

I don't know if you are still looking for people connected to this family, but my husband is. I have Elizabeth Trezise (1793), born in Redruth to Nicholas and Mary. The family left for Lancashire in the late 1790s and settled in Bristol. Elizabeth married Henry Baker from Morval, Cornwall.
