Martha Tackaberry was born in County Wexford around 1820. The man I believe is her brother, John Tackaberry, was born in Ballyadam, Kilmuckridge, County Wexford around 1811. They both were in Alton, Illinois next to each other in the mid-1840s. Martha married a Cowley (in Ireland or US I don't know). Then, she married John O'Neil in 1845. She died in Alton in 1856.

Hi, I am also trying to find information about my family, Edith Martha Tackaberry born 1899, daughter of Nathaniel Tackaberry of Bunclody, County Wexford. She married George Warren. Am trying to find where they were buried. She died in 1980, he in 1976.

Do you have any more information about Samuel Tackaberry who went to Quebec in 1922? Is he the same Samuel Tackaberry who died in 1926, from County Wexford? If so, he was my grandmother's brother and I would very much like to find out more about him.

Hello Ella,
Welcome to British-Genealogy.
Unfortunately all the other people who were searching for Tackaberrys are no longer members of the forum, as denoted by the word 'guest' beneath their names.
Regarding the burials of George and Edith, have you tried searching the British Newspaper Archive? I know they have lots of Irish newspapers, but I don't know the years of coverage. If you're unsuccessful now, I would advise you to keep checking every six months or so because new pages are being added every week.
Though if you know where they were living and the dates of death then it would be worth emailing the local library asking if they hold copies of the local newspapers, and if so could they check them for obituaries.
As for Samuel, when was he born? Does his birth year equate (give or take a year) to the age at death of the one who died in Quebec in 1926?
And generally, have you found the people you're asking questions about in the 1901 and 1911 census?
The more information you can give us, the more our members will probably be able to help you. (Though I know Irish records are notoriously difficult to search.)
Stop press!
Whilst looking for something else, I found this article regarding Irish burials. https://www.
