    Hi,

is there a particular census year you would like looking at? in 1891, there are 156 George Young's in Yorkshire, perhaps you have an approx DOB, or an area we can narrow down the search a little.

I have a scrap of paper at home which says that my gg grandfather George Young was a shoemaker.

His daughter Harriet Young was born in 1849 in Bilton and she married William Burgon in 1883 4 years after my grandmother Sarah Ellen was born, not sure if William was her father.

I was just curious to know if I could find any info about George.

I'm not sure whether Bilton was a very big place in those days, but I've just started to help a friend with her family.

    So far,

Thomas YOUNG m. Mary RENTON - ten children born in Bilton, from 1841- 1864, no Harriet unfortunately.
Good luck with your research everybody!
