    Hi Colin,

Trixie-Bell has not been on the forum since 6th November last year and so may not see your request.

However, there are many other members who may be able to help!

    Thanks, Jan.

Once the papers arrive, I'll advise accordingly on this forum.

    Cheers

The papers finally arrived, but not much help. The ship he was on left England November 14, 1957. My chap had a round trip ticket, but due to an accident or illness, he landed in Cape Town and was admitted to the Union of South Africa for hospitalization and treatment. He was granted a Temporary Permit for a 30 day period.

He had to leave by December 27, 1957. He left December 13, 1957.

    That's all it told me.

    Hello Trixie bell,
Are you still offering help please.
Amongst your liist of names do you have any refence to Charles Reader , possibly a stockbroker of capetown or to the Italian name Pettoni. the dates would be 1850-1920.
    thank you .

    Hi

I am a new member and saw your post.

I will appreciate it if you could provide me with any info on my great grandfather, Alfred Henry Prosser. Born during 1886,1887. His father had the same names.

Welcome to the forum! Trixie-Bell has not been on the forum for a few years and may not see your post, but if you look at the three "Sticky" threads at the top of the South African forum you may find some help.

Without an exact date I've been unable to obtain a Death Record from SA and couldn't find anything on NAAIRS. I paid a researcher to check Pretoria newspapers and cemetaries without success. Any ideas?

    Thanks. Olive
    Hi Olive,

What was the child's father's name? I find a record for a child with father (or at least parent) A.F. Fretwell who died in Natal aged 3 years and 10 months in 1902, but the name doesn't quite match.
