I have spent abit of time over the past few days chasing details of the people on the "Chyebassa", arriving Brisbane on 21 October 1885. I started with those girls who wrote autographs for my great-aunts, and then moved onto the transcription of the list of assisted passengers. For those known to great-aunts Ella and Jen, I attempted to do some follow-up research.
The surnames I started with are AVON, CRAGO, JUSTER, SMALLEY, STAFFORD, and SYMES.

Update
Just reporting that a JUSTER descendant was Googling her maiden surname, and found the blog. Neat!

Genealogy Qld website?
Hello Geoff
I saw some time ago a link to a site for Qld Genealogy Forum or similar - but I lost it! Have you seen anything like that?
