I'm looking for information about Elizabeth Cashin - born 1822-1824 - IOM - I have information about her after she married Arthur Carson in 1844 but nothing before that, any information would be welcome,

Any possibilities? Remember that ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 years. So if Elizabeth was 19 to 21, her birthyear was probably given as 1821 or 1826.

My understanding is that the IGI is complete for IoM.

Had a look on Elizabeth Cashin on IGI - no matches - even tried the wildcard* on the surname just in case it was spelt differently as in previous message

What was the name of Elizabeth's father on her marriage certificate? Also his occupation?

Where were Arthur and Elizabeth married -- in Lancashire? If Lancashire, perhaps Elizabeth's family had moved there from IOM and are living in the vicinity of Wavertree in the 1841 census [in which case their IOM origins wouldn't likely be indicated -- only that they were born out of the county].
I don't see a John CASHIN -- or any reasonable variation thereof -- with occupation of tailor associated with IOM in the 1841 census but he could have been deceased by then.
The 1851 census shows an Elizabeth CHAIR, 20, sister-in-law to the head, born IOM, living with Arthur and Elizabeth. [HO107/2192 Folio 1024 Page 20] Her marital status is not indicated. It doesn't seem likely that Elizabeth would have a younger sister also named Elizabeth but the exact nature of their relationship may give you a clue as to your Elizabeth's background.
