I'm trying to find the postal address of the Poplar and Stepney Sick Asylum, later known as St Andrews Hospital, in Devons Road, Bow. The ABCD 1934 London Street Directory shows it after No 73 Devons Road, but, did it have a Street Number, for convenience? For example, in Cheadle, Staffs, on Death Certificates the Infirmary there used the house, or Matron's Residence on Death Certs., rather than saying the Infirmary.

Hello Peter
The Hospitals database gives the address just as you have it:
Devons Road Bow London E3 3NTThe post code didn't apply, of course.

Googling suggests that the street number used on certificates was 73a or 76a.

Thanks Colin and Peter,
The reference to 73a answers my question.
