    Question Red Coat School

    Please can anyone tell me anything about a Red Coat School in or near Stepney, in 1851. I can find information about a Blue coat School, A Greycoat hospital and a Green coat hospital. And they all seem to serve the same area.

    A quick Google reveals the following:

    Corporation of London, Guildhall Library: 1995 Accessions:-

    Sir John Casss Foundation, independent charity: records, incl those of Cass School, various Ward and parochial schools, Mile End Old Town Charity School (later Stepney Red Coat School), Sir John Cass Technical Institute (later part of Guildhall University), and other associated organisations 16th cent-1970s
