Default Robert K Haselden x Madeline Elizabeth Wise

Robert K Haselden [date of birth unknown], married Madeline Elizabeth Wise [born c 1883 Brixton], in March 1917 in the Wandsworth registration district.

Does anybody have any information on this couple or their descendants?

    Regards,
    Barrie.

Thanks Willow for the reply - I have Madeline's history up until her marriage. She was an actress and followed in the footsteps of her father, well known actor, comedian, producer William Wise [Wyse]. But after the 1901 census I have no data at all.

    Smile Wise family, Seal, Kent

    Hi

I have some further information on the Wise family of Seal Kent and their decendants. I am a bit busy at the moment but by the beginning of October I should have some more time.

    However,I do have now:

Name Relation Marital Status Gender Age Birthplace
William WISE Head M Male 24 Seal, Kent, England Publisher's Clerk
Elizabeth E. WISE Wife M Female 22 St Pancras, Middlesex, England
Percival W. WISE Son Male 2 Brixton, Surrey, England
Gertrude A. WISE Daur Female 2 m Brixton, Surrey, England
Charlotte WEBB Servant U Female 16 Chelsea, Middlesex, England Domestic Servant

above from the 1881 UK census. They were living at 9 Herbert Road Lambeth

Is this their marriage from FreeBMD Dec 1878?? "Wise, William, Camberwell, vol 1d, page 1158"
and "BUTCHER, Elizabeth Ellen" with the same reference

I do know that Elizabeth's maiden name was Butcher.

They also had other children. Between Madeline and Peter there were
George, Geoffrey John (Jack), and Lawrence. There was also another chid born after Phillip who died in infancy.

Hope this helps. Oh and I have a photo of Madeline as well.

    John

    Hello John,

Thank you for the reply, and you have got me intrigued as to your connection to the family, and of course the photo of Madeline.

Yes, the marriage for William and Elizabeth is: GRO December 1878 Camberwell, volume 1d, page 1158, - they were married in the parish church on the 4th December 1878, and the witnesses were George Thomas Butcher and Ann Butcher.

Was the last child Sophia Esther?

I have posted a message for you that contains my email address, so I hope you make further contact.

    Barrie.

Hey Barrie, are you still interested in Madeline E Wise? I have recently begun to trace our family history and discovered that Madeline was my Mother's Aunt. My mother was Jean Winifred Ann Wise, daughter of George Howard Wise who was Madeline's brother.

    Hello Clarkey,

    Welcome to British-Genealoy.

Unfortunately you've found an old post (from 2006), and barrie is no longer a member of the forum as shown by the word 'guest' underneath his name. This means that we have no way of contacting him.
That doesn't stop you continuing to be a member, and ask for help with any queries you find in your research.
