    Default Elizabeth Nugent, 1841 census

I am hoping someone will be able to find Elizabeth Nugent
for me. I have the 1861 and 1871 records but they give
different places of birth. One says Swansea and the other
    Morristown, Glamorganshire.
Elizabeth Nugent was b. abt. 1833.
Her mother's name is Mary Nugent b. in Pembroke abt. 1813.

    Regards

How about the 1851 census? That one shows an Elizabeth NUGENT, 17, living with her Irish-born, widowed father John, a shoemaker, brother Richard and 3 sisters, Catherine, Anne and Jane on Temple Street in Llangynwyd Cwmdu, Glamorgan. This Elizabeth is listed as having been born in Newton, Glamorgan.

Can I just say that Morristown - Morriston as it is spelt these days - is in Swansea so saying Morritown on one census and Swansea on the other is the same thing

    Default Elizabeth Nugent

Our Elizabeth Nugent was an only child and her father died
not long after she was born.
Her mother Mary Nugent (nee Morgan) never remarried,
but lived with Elizabeth and her husband.
When Elizabeth died her father's name wasn't recorded
    on her death certificate.
Another researcher has been researching this family since
1980. We can't find a marriage certificate, and there
dosen't seem to be any mention of the husband, father,
    on any certificates.
I just thought I would try to help by asking this forum. One
never knows where a new thread of information my come
    to light.

    Regards

I have a distant grandmother Elizabeth Welham (nee Nugent) born in Glamorgan, who married Richard Welham in Glamorgan 1850, who emigrated to new Zealand 1877.
