Hello all.

I am new to this list and am seeking information on the ancestors of Peter STRACHAN and Rachel Will who married 1817 in Errol Perthshire. They had the following children

Helen STRACHAN b 1819
John STRACHAN b 1820

John STRACHAN and his second wife Margert LAMOND emigrated to New Zealand with thier 4 children. They had 3 more children in Otago New Zealand.

Any information on this family much appreciated.

The extracted IGI gives Mary S. as bap 1 Sept 1852 Collace, Perthshire and John Lamond S. bap 4 Jun 1854 Kirkmichael, Perthshire.

Have you looked to see whether peter and rachel lived long enough to have death certificates?

Hello

I am wanting information on the parents and siblings of Peter Strachan and Rachel Will whom married 1817. It is believed that Rachel Will was born about 1796 (missplaced my note on this). According to the 1851 Scotland Census Rachel was aged 55 with no mention of Peter Strachan.

Any help much appreciated
