I can't see an 1891 census for Ireland.
There's a few Michaels and Martins in their thirties...

Thank you for the reply, I have the medal and ribbon with four clasps,
Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, and South Africa 1902.
I don't have Ancestry but on the Anglo Boer War website...

Thanks for that I just bought his Boer war medal and was trying to piece together the story.

which just gives his initial, surname and unit, thanks.
