That would seem to explain where the 'Marie' came from, as the register page is headed 'Register of marriages solemnized at the Catholic Chapel, Mount St. Marie'.

Highly likely because if you look in the top right-hand corner of the next page the name of the ecclesiastical district has changed from St Johns to St Cuthbert.
