Domesday book names

I have evidence that my research surname Lancelevee held land in Hannington Hants and some evidence that they were there from 1066-86. A manor there of 1 hide was named after them. But I can't see them in the Domesday records where the manor was held by Leofwine. Some texts say that only names at a manorial level are listed, perhaps saying that subtenants ( or mesne lords) were not. SO if that is true I might conclude that the Lancelevees were there but not being tenants-in-chief. Would be great to hear views on this
