Monyhull Hospital kings Norton Birmingham

I am trying to find who would hold the patient records for the above hospital which closed some years ago. A relative of my husbands lived there and died there I know that it would have come under the NHS and then sometimes the records get transferred to the local archives. I have checked the catalogue at Birmingham Archives and cant find anything. I have googled for patient records but am getting no where. I find the Birmingham catalogue so frustrating and having found the search engine once I now cant find it even though it was only 20 minutes ago! I appreciate that there is a 100 year rule but know under certain circumstances they will allow next of kin to view file. I don't really want a to see the whole of the file just the dates of entry I know she lived with her family in 1911 she was "deaf and dumb" following meningitis.
