Here's a link to some of the fairs and events to be held over the next year.

Check it regularly for updates.

It is not an exhaustive list.

Having just received a reminder from the Society of Genealogists about forthcoming events in August I was going to post a little note in the thread, but then noticed that the events are listed in the URL in post #1.

It's also worth checking out the Family History Society local to where you live. Although they often have talks tailored to their county, equally they have talks about FH in general. You should be able to attend any meeting, often for free, though a small donation towards their costs is appropriate and appreciated.

If you don't know the name of your local FHS (Yorkshire for example has lots of local ones) then check out Genuki https://www.genuki.org.uk/big
and the Federation of FHS https://www.familyhistoryfederation.com/
Note that some of the Societies on the latter site are lsted under 'The'. Also included are some Canadian and Australian Societies.

A few of the English FHS also have branch meetings at the SoG in London. Lincolnshire. Norfolk, Northumberland and Durham spring readily to mind, Plus 'a' Yorkshire one, whose name I can't remember of the top of my head, but which used to meet on the same day as the London branch of the Lincolnshire FHS, but in the morning. They're probably the London Group of Yorkshire Family History Societies, though their website seems difficult to access. (Though I am a non-techie. :smile5:)
