I'd appreciate it if anyone could shed further light.

Nicholas BAYNTON b 1 Dec 1834 Heanor, Derby s/o Thomas BANTON (b 1787 Pentrich) m Sarah nee Foster (c 1793 Bottesford, Leic) in Baxterley, Warwick.

Nicholas m Hariet (spelled as such) ? b 1838 Tamworth, Warwick (now Staff?)

Nicholas 11th of 12 children, born successively in Baxterly, Warwick; Aston-on-Trent, Derby; Melbourne, Derby; Heanor, Derby. The first half of the christenings were as BANTON, then BAYNTON. It appears subsequent censes and deaths, including parents, used BAYNTON. He may have died in 1873 in Ashby de la Z., Derby.

Anyone able to do an 1861 lookup pls? It's speculative, but on 1837online for 1861 Tamworth census, there is a Harriet (not Hariet) ... (3 dots for indeciperible surname), 23, and Nicholas ..., 27. Each, however, indicated as having been born in Tamworth - the correct ages.

This is all that's known, so any improvement on our knowledge would obviously be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Bill

Unbelievable! That's them. I thought, without a surname and only first names and matching ages, that it wouldn't pan out.

Thks, much, Jayne.
