Hallo Seekers, I have just added Dorset to my list of counties in my ancestry upon discovering that my great-great grandfather Michael COOPER and his brother Daniel were baptised in Swanage, sons of Daniel COOPER and Frances (maiden name unknown) in 1791 and 1794 respectively. By 1800 the family had decamped to Portsmouth.
If anyone has any info about this family I should be very grateful to share it.
Thanks
Robina

Hi Robina,
This is probably a long shot but worth making a note of. The IGI gives a Marriage of Daniel Cooper & Frances Gold at St Peter, Canterbury, Kent, 18th May 1789. A very quick check on the IGI does not show them having children in Kent afterwards.
Cheers, Jeremy
