Very interesting, Chiddicks, thank you for sharing. I've not had my DNA tested, though I have thought of doing so, mainly for curiousity as thus far my research has been relatively straightforward, most of the stumbling blocks I hit have tumbled down over time.

Perhaps, one day I'll take the plunge into DNA testing and maybe some surprises will emerge :) Though to be honest I expect my result would be similar to yours..........mostly English.

I am currently working through a plan and a spreadsheet of contacts. I have made some very interesting contacts some of which I dont feel that I would have found if it wasn't for the DNA test.

as a genealogist just think of the DNA test as another tool to your armoury!
