A circa 1930 photo - believed to be Indian Medical - Agra or Rangoon - on right, believe to be Henry Charles Ray b 1899 - what regiment? - what rank? if any. Are they medical ?

I think it could be Medical as there is a Mr Henry C Ray traveling to India in 1950 under Occupation it say's Medical

That's all I can find except his Birth details in India, a death in 1981 in England and father's death in India 1901.

September is the 1/4 (July, Aug and Sept) for the registration you would need to get a copy from the GRO to find out the right date.

As you are in Glasgow that's a bit hard for you to do unless you pay a researcher to do it for you.

I agree British Library is way forward - but the basic "check question" was v good – and I’ve gone back to check – it’s the way her name has been passed on - a short note, wife, written out fully EFML, there an Andrew Charles Leslie to the right (father ???) Jubbulpore - centre bottom.
