I am looking for her birth certificate, marriage license and I also have a person who feels that Ellen may be her grandmother also...she has threaded in this forum so is I can find out anything I will pass it on BEcause then we would be cousins...TY for your reply....Happy Thanksgiving

You won't find the certificates only the registrations.Once you have these you can then order a copy of the certificates,not too sure where you apply for certificates from Ireland or the costs. I'm sure another member can point you in the right direction to order certificates.

Thank You, Pamela...I will wait to see if I can get more information. Where will I find the VOL 2 PAGE 831 info? Also I got an ANCESTRY message that Ellen was at the Rathdown Workhouse in Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin in 1914 was PREGNANT & discharged. This is the child the other person thinks is her grandmother but we have no proof....my mother was born to Ellen (my maternal grandmother) on 12.23.1918 and had a sister Susan 1920...They emigrated to America on Oct 4, 1921...TY

Thank You so very much...I have asked for help from the Scotland People site Bcu I cannot get into the site. I have the list U gave me but I cannot get in....Hopefully whey will find a solution....I am also looking for Ellen's birth certificate: Ellen Lyster born:Sept. 2, 1896 Parents:Edward Lyster and Susan Crimmins....Baptized Sept 6,1895...This info was given from: Irish Catholic Parish Registry 1655-1915...any help will be very appreciated. You can see the original of the birth registration - though it doesn't tell you much more than you already have - at irishgenealogy.ie - click on "Civil Records" at the top, follow the prompts to enter her details - you'll get to a page that confirms her details and that her birth was registered in the Rathdown district - with the word "image" right at the bottom.

Click on that and you get to see the page with her registration details on

What problem are you having with Scotland's People - you need to register with them and then buy credits to view the marriage certificate - hope you can sort it out
