View Full Version : Pte W J Keen in the Boer War (photo)

As this is my first post in these forums, I thought you might like to see a photograph of hubby's gt-grandfather, William John Keen, in his Boer War uniform (fingers crossed that the attachment works!)

Seen standing on the left, William Keen was born in Welling in 1880, and saw active service with the Royal West Kent Regiment.

He survived the Boer War, and eventually died in Orpington in 1946.

Thats unbeleivable, lost his head and survived until 1946 !

It's nice to meet him Wendus, and thanks for sharing it with us.
I just wish I had a few more pictures of our 'oldies' they're great.
