I think my ggg uncle William Alderdice may have oned this pub in or around 1850 it was used for the Freemason

There's a lengthy article in the Belfast Weekly News 24 Sep 1908 about the history of the pub that mentions " ... then as now owned by the Allardice family; ...".

Article available thru' Find My Past or British Newspaper Archive - both pay/subscription sites tho' FMP may be available at a local library, depending on where you live.

Have you seen the will of William Alderdice, publican and farmer of Milltown, which can be found on the will calendars on the PRONI website? Probate granted 1890.
