Plus some not so free/easily accessible. :smile5: It's just a question of clicking on a particular title and seeing where it leads you.

Credit for finding the link has to go to essbee. I claim credit for posting it. :smile5:

Where it says a newspaper is 'UIUC only' bear in mind that it refers to the University of Illinois. It may be available online through a different site.

The Times (UK) is available through the Times Digital Archive, available in many UK libraries and often accessible at home if you have a library card.
I think the London Gazette is available online for free - I know I searched it for something the other day without any problems.

Some of the other UK titles may be partly covered by the British Newspaper Archive, available by either separate subscription or as part of a FMP sub.

Thanks for the credit Pam ;)
Another portal to US newspapers online is through the Library of Congress site http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov

For those who are members of the British Library, a large number of African and Latin American newspapers can be viewed via the Remote Eresources section of the BL website. You need your username and password to log in.

Australian Historical Newspapers http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/
European Historical Newspapers http://www.europeana.eu/portal/en/search?q=europeana_collectionName%3A92%2Aewspapers %2A

I think both of these are free. I've not really explored them.
