I have the following family recorded in the 1841 Census for Kingswinford - do they appear in the 1851 Census?
Benjamin Little, 35, I Stone Miner
Martha, 30
Theophilus, 12
Tabitha, 10
Steven(Stephen?), 6
Ellen, 8 Months

I suspect that Theophilus was probably married by 1851, but Steven (or Stephen) did not marry until 1855. I hope that Benjamin, Martha, Theophilus, possibly Tabitha & Steven were all born in Shropshire, Ellen in Staffs.
If anyone can find them, I will be VERY grateful - have been searching for ages!!!
Many thanks, Pete

Hi Lottie,

I do know that in 1861 Martha is shown in the Oldbury Census - don't know what happened to Benjamin. There were then 3 other cxhildren, all born in Oldbury.
Theophilus was married in 1858 at All Saints, W Brom, Tabitha in 1849 at Christ Church, W Brom, Steven in 1855 at Christ Church, Oldbury, & Ellen in 1861 at the Reg Office, W Brom.
Many thanks & Regards, Pete

Once again, many thanks Lottie - sometimes negative info can be equally important in this frustrating pastime!

I will clearly have to cast my net a bit more widely, to take in the rest of Staffs/Worcs/Salop!
