Hi, I have found a Buriel doc for my Grandmother.
It says she died at 13 Arberry Road Bethnal Green, I am just not sure if the first r is correct.
I am not sure how to attach the doc.
Does anybody know of this address or one similar.
This was in 1940, her home address was 31 Palm Street, she collapsed on her way home and was taken into a house near by.
Thankyou

I suspect that this road has disappeared - either during the Blitz, or subsequent redevelopment.

I would suggest that you contact the London Metropolitan Archives and see if they hold old maps or lists of old street names:

Arbery Road is south of Victoria Park. It's the second, or third turning on the left going south on Grove Road, past its junction with Roman Road. I say second, or third, as G** map show it as second, but my 1960's A-Z shows it as third.

BTW Palm Street was the first turning on the right, off Grove Road past Roman Road. I believe that it's buried under what is now Mile End Park.

This Link (http://maps.nls.uk/view/102345861?cx=004988112283334510717%3Adtvnxsp4ug8&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=UTF-8&q=victoria+park#zoom=6&lat=7249&lon=13570&layers=BT) will take you to a map of the area showing both Arberry Rd. and Palm St. As Peter said Palm St is 1st right and Arberry is 3rd left.

Sorry don't know why 'pop-up' layer is there on link. Just click on x to get rid of it.
