Anyone researching the Barron family name in the area? I've traced mine back to about 1663 around Stamforham, then Hartburn Nr. Morpeth, Lamesley, Tanfield and Sedgefield. From there to Stockton on Tees around 1900.

Hi Lancelot,
I have recently come across an Elizabeth Barron who married John Thompson June 1849 Dur vol 24 p115. I believe she was born abt 1831 Redworth Durham. But that is the only information I have on this lady. Do you happen to have in her in your tree? She also states in the 1861 census that she was born 1834 Westerton, Durham.
