BROOKES & SUMMERS in Colwall

My second great grandmother, ELizabeth Brookes, was born in Colwall in 1833. Her parents were William Brookes & Ann Summers who married 12th Sept 1825. I have all the births to William & Ann from the excellent transcriptions of Colwall bmd which are online. I am, however completely stuck at William, I have no idea where he came from or who his parents were. If anyone knows of a Brookes family in Herefordshire, I would love to know about them. William was a carpenter.

Have you tried searching the Malvern births? I grew up in Malvern and know of a few Brookes families in the town. If you don't know the area Great Malvern is on the opposite side of the Malvern Hills to Colwall - (apologies if you are aware of this already). The births for Malvern were registered under Upton (Worcestershire) for the period you are searching for. Hope this is of help.
