I am looking for info on William Jepson born 1829 Rainow Cheshire, he married in 1847 so was trying to find his parents

Do you have any more information about this man? Do you know what month he was born in and also the date and location of his marriage.If he was baptised at Rainow I will check out the PRs for his baptismal record.

I'm afraid that is all I have, his marraige may have been in Macclesfield but his wife Elizabeth came from Oxfordshire so I cant be sure

I've just noticed this thread, and I thought I would check out my William Jepson. He was born in Capesthorne in 1829 (approx) according to Census records (1841). I don't know what happened to him later.

His parents were Thomas and Sarah, and I have some information on William's siblings if you think they could be the correct family.

Capesthorne not a million miles from Rainow.In 1861 he appears to be at Lower Withinton,Prestbury.Alas he married to a Mary (RG (9 2587 folio 69).

Thanks for your help, there must be more than one William Jepson, I have a definate link from 1861 census
He was living at 6 Davies St, Macclesfield
William Jepson 1824 Rainow
Elizabeth wife 1826 now found marraige m.n. Stockford
James 1848 Macclesfield
Peter 1855 Hazel Grove
Mary 1857 Hazel Grove
Henry 1859 Hurdsfield

Subsequent census gives his place of birth as Rainow but with varying years of birth 1824-1829
