PEARSON in WOODKIRK/WEST ARDSLEY

I've traced my wife's PEARSON connection back from Batley through Mirfield to West Ardsley or, as it used to be known, Woodkirk. Samuel PEARSON, her gg grandfather, was born there in 1805 and may have married Elizabeth NOBLE in St Mary's Church,Woodkirk in 1826. His parents may have been James PEARSON and Sarah LUMB married in St Mary's Church, Woodkirk in 1782. James' father may have been called Thomas PEARSON but I have no info on him. A lot of this is supposition based on various online sources and I would be very grateful if any forum member has any source of information concerning Woodkirk which might help substantiate this line. It seems that, by 1838, the family had moved from West Ardsley to Mirfield as all Samuel's children born after that date were born in there.

Forgive me I'm new and have been reading all the posts.
I have the 1841 Mirfield Census and there are a number of Pearsons which seem to indicate that they were there for a while.
All at 28 Low Mills:

Then there is another family living at 30 Dunbottle lane

And then - I looked through the marriages and I may have found Sam!
