I've found the perfect thing for

(a) if you ever have a night when you can't sleep
and
(b) any nerdy people that might be hanging around BG. :smile5:

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/

Although it says 'title' in the search box you can enter just a single word such as marriage or registration to get results.

If you feel lazy you can just click on one of the links on the left-hand side which refer to recent legislation such as
'The A1 Trunk Road (New Road, Sandy, Bedfordshire) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2014'. (Link (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2014/1646/contents/made) in case you're really interested.)

And for all that I'm making a joke about it, reading some of the laws can be quite interesting. And useful if you want to know exactly what something such as the Employment Rights Act 1996 said.

Yes it has developed into a good site.
If it had been around a few years ago I could have saved a lot of time, effort and money spent buying and transcribing Acts of Parliament for the Genealogist.

However a number of Acts are on my site that still have not made it to the gov.uk site.

If you can't sleep Pam, call me. I'm probably awake also.
