Army Dog Unit 1953-1955

I am looking for information on any surviving members of the Army Dog Unit who served during 1953-1955 and remember a solider called George Norman. I am trying to see if there are any people in the North West area, particularly around Oldham and Middleton who remember serving with George. Thanks.
