I'm looking for any record or date concerning The death of Leonard John Mundy born in Gloucester 1909, He died in a cycle accident some time after 1924 In Gloucester, he was my Mothers uncle and she remembers he died when she was a young girl but can't remember when, she was born in 1924 so would think it would be between 1924-1935. I have tried BMD etc but no luck.
can anyone help?

What's BMD? You need the GRO indexes for that period - available at all the usual places.

It sounds as if you've never read this, or something similar - http://www.genuki.org.uk/gs/

Hi Alby10,

If by BMD you mean FreeBMD they have very little coverage at this time beyond about 1910.

You could try going to a genealogical society and working through the GRO indexes if they have them or perhaps do a search using one of the pay per view sites such as: 1837 online, etc.

Thanks for the tips
Yes I was refering to the freeBMD, and I have used the Gro indexes, I visit the GFHS as often as I can , but due to work etc have little time.
I am not an expert but often find that the people on forums are, and at times I have found that someone has researched what I am looking for already, and may even be a family member I that am unaware of as a bonus.

Hi Alby

Sorry I can't help you with Leonard, but I am researching Munday from Berkeley.
My first Munday was Johanna b 1791 in Berkeley, her father was Jonah and his Edward.

Where are your Mundays from?

Hi Sue
Dont think it can be the same family, the Mundys in my family originated in Uffington in Berkskire with James Mundy born 1795 his son George Mundy who was born 1831 in Towerhill in London, moved to Elmore in Gloucester to work as a market gardener, this I belive is where the Gloucester line started.
