Hoping someone will recognise this very elusive lady !
I cannot find a birth for her nor find her on the 1861 census despite exhaustive searching.
In 1868 she married my great Grandfather Joseph Whitfield in Workington, she gave her age as 19, father Edward Davies deceased. She was living Bridge Street, Workington.
In 1871 she is in Dalton in Furness with Joseph and two children, her age is 20 born Swansea.
In 1881 she is in Sculcoates 'living with' a John Whitfield, her first husband Joseph (my great Grandfather has disappeared and I have never found him again). She is mistranscribed as Lottie Whitfield, age 27.
In 1886 she declares herself a widow and marries John Whitfield, she is then 32, her father shown as Edward Davies a cabinet maker.
Her death cert. for 1925 in Leeds gives her age as 72.
A posting from a Patron on the LDS IGI shows her being born 1854 Swansea but on contacting him he had no birth cert. so presumably this 'age' was assumed on her death.
Any help would be gratefully received.
