update on william black morley

i received william blacks birth certificate today only to find that williams mother margaret morley didn't name the father.which has made the finding of the father nigh on impossible.
the birth certificate for his birth was 26 march 1908 and mother was living at 3 eden crescent west auckland durham,can any body think of a way that i may find out who else was at the address.
i would be very glad if someone can help me in my quest.

You could check the 1901 census to see who was at that address.

Also look to see if the local library/record centre has poll books - they list the adults eligible to vote.

If Mary was only about 16 when had Mary.....this could be her in 1901 at
RG 13 4652 folio 26.
