Hello,

We are getting closer to Nov. 11th . and for those of you who might have had bus drivers who served during the Great War, I came across a niche publication " Destination Western Front", london's omnibuses go to war by Roy Larkin isbn 978-0-9565014-0-0 . I loved the old B type bus, a particular model manufacturer used to produce one-shows my age! :)
I was very moved by this publication and I understood why London Transport have always had a special place in the Rememberence Parade in London , these men were Auxiliary drivers and also were part of the Army Service Corps, 21 Military Medals were won during the war.
The Great War is such a vast subject and we will never know all of the aspects of it, some stories are only now being told with approach of the centenary.

This one stays on my bookshelf.
