Queens S.A. and Kings S.A. medals

I have a soldier, namely William Davies, born 1880 in Blaenavon, Monmouthshire who received the QSA medal and the KSA medal but no further details. I wonder is it possibly to find which regiment he was with in South Africa with such limited details?
