having particular trouble pinning down jenny white, have tried all sorts of records, and she really did exist!

There is a 17 y o Alfred Grafton, a brass chaser living with his parents in Aston on the 1861 Census.Ref RG 9 2169 folio 92

This man does not appear to be yours unless he married more than once.In 1871 he is at RG 10 3138 folio 92 with wife Elizabeth.

I have just had a look at freebmd it appears that this Alfred married Elizabeth WHITE...most strange.UK

hello everyone.a lot can change in a few days in this business.....
it is indeed 'my' alfred.....his wife was elizabeth, NOT jenny (familial misinformation),
and i've successfully traced him all the way to his death in 1894! via various census returns etc...where he's described variously as 'brass chaser' and 'metal annealer'.
anyway....i can now concentrate more on the morgan side of my tree..........
more late nights and obsessive searching!
